WORTH A SHOT!

I still remember her smile, that blushing glance for a second.
"Acha?", she would say placing her hairs gently over her ear.
It was the same day like this. We were trying to meet for two days, but circumstances were not in our favour. And sun was at its best, giving all our effort grimmimg heat. We couldn't afford to meet. But finally our love made the heat of ball melt. After two days of rigourous heat, it was monsoon high time clouds.
The cold wind started at four in the evening.
"Sama hai suhana suhana", Her text flashed on my screen.
I was just back from the gym. It made me smile, she always does.
"Nashe me jahan h", I replied remembering the old Hindi song by legendary Mukesh.
"Hume ek dusre ki khabar hi kahan h", her text with a wink.
I looked out side. The bounder was perfect. I still get that jittery feeling of it.
"I'll be on the roof in ten minutes, be there", I texted with a smile.
"I am already", she sent three love hearts.
I tapped a little back of my head.
Throwing my bag on the bed, I rushed to the roof. I still had my towel around my neck.
My body automatically turned toward her roof, to the right of my entrance. And I waved in excitement. She didn't replied. The pink dupatta on her yellow suit had covered her face. The wind was trying its best to hide her from me.
I waved again but she walked. Just when I tried it one more time, a six foot tall man walked through the wall. It was his uncle.

She side glanced me. I could see her smiling.
The shiver walked through my body, I turned around, posing like I am enjoying the wind.
She walked away from uncle, and texted me
"Still afraid of him, how would you ask him for our marriage", it ended with a tongue out emoticon.
I don't know what ran through my mind but I jumped through the roof and went to her uncle. Her expression was priceless. She hasn't expected that.
She ran back inside the house presuming I would be dead today. Actually I felt the same but I just couldn't resist.
Today, the wind is same, she's walks from the door with the tea. We are happily married for 10 years now.
If you are wondering I convinced uncle that day, you are wrong. It took me two years and a lot of convincing with switch of three jobs, to of course get a better living for her, to make up at this point. But damn yr, it was worth it. I was in love yr, and that's what gave me power the day I went to her uncle. I still regret those punches though.
Its always worth a shot when you are in love, your road romeo story, could be your life. Just try once!

A LOVE: FOREVER OR FORGOTTEN PART 1

Image source: www.bigdays.inBased on true story...20th August, 2010Like every morning, Maa woke me up in the morning and from last few months same line from maa side, "How did they make you the Sports Captain of the School? You don't even wake up by yourself."
And my usual reply, "Maa, just 5 more minutes.", and by these friendly 5 minutes, I let the big hand of the clock, rotate 180°.

Ooopss! I forgot to introduce myself.
I, Manik Mishra, studying in Class 12th Science, Sports Captain, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Satna (MP, India).
Since last few days I was bit angry on the administration, as they were not allowing the senior students (Class 12th) to participate in Sports Cluster Meet (Damn new rule of the KV Sangathan!).

This news was more depressing because, for the very first time, our school basketball team was allowed by our principal to participate in Sports meet and the training responsibility was given to me and my best buddy Junaid Mustafa. We trained our school …

UNFORGIVEN BUT NOT UNFORGOTTEN

WRITTEN BY MADHAV !!

I am running in the darkness at night where leaves were hitting my face, birds were chirping, moon is hiding behind the dark clouds. I knew something terrible is chasing me from behind. I don't want to turn around  and see what it is. I kept on running. Suddenly, I heard a voice calling my name. After 5min I heard the same voice calling my name again, this time it was louder. After a few minutes the pitch of the voice increased and I was more scared. Now, it's both, I'm been chased by a voice and some creature. The voice came close to me and whispered, "wake up my son, it's your convocation today." What? Convocation? I then, got a immediate slap on my butt and the voice shouted at me, to wake up. It's my mother and I've been dreaming 😁

I got ready in an hour and reached my college by 10am. I can see lots of people who came for the convocation, lots of gangs too. Yes, in college a person without a messy gang is a scenario you don…
